Homewood bound for top honours

North Downs professional and Club Pro Network member, Mike Homewood has earned the congratulations of his peers after being named South Region's best professional.

Homewood took the honour as the region brought the curtain down on the season at the inaugural GYH Destination awards at Wentworth Golf Club.

The 41 year old was one of five winners, which saw players also nominate best coach, best assistant, best player and best fundraiser. Homewood took the plaudits for his tireless work in 14 years as head pro at the Surrey club. "Mike always personifies professionalism while out on the course with amateurs and has helped the PGA stage various events at North Downs" said the winners sitation from the organisers.
